The Osterville Men’s Club will welcome Owen Earl, Veteran Outreach Coordinator for Heroes in Transition (HIT), as the speaker for our November luncheon. Owen is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who served 24 years, rising to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3. His career included lifesaving and homeland security missions at stations across the country, along with service aboard the cutters Farallon and Wire.
After settling on Cape Cod in 2023 with his wife, April, and their four children, Owen became involved with Heroes in Transition and experienced firsthand the impact of its programs for veterans and military families. In March 2026, he joined the organization professionally, bringing both his military background and his own transition experience to his role as Veteran Outreach Coordinator.
Founded in memory of Marine Captain Eric A. Jones, Heroes in Transition provides free programs that support veterans, active‑duty service members, military couples, and families across Cape Cod and the Islands. Its offerings include fitness and wellness activities, equine therapy, social outings, couples and family support, and direct financial assistance. The organization’s mission is to build community, foster healing, and ease the transition to life beyond military service.
At the November luncheon, Owen will share how Heroes in Transition serves veterans and military families in our region, and how its programs strengthen the broader Cape Cod community.
Members are encouraged to attend and learn more about the important work HIT is doing—and how we, as a club, can support those who have served.
